How is such a huge difference possible? Who is trying to rip you off?

The truth revealed (spoiler alert): no one is trying to rip you off, but you are simply buying two completely different products that, by pure chance, share the same name: "Website."

1. The "Myth" of the Low-Cost Website

When you buy a website for a few hundred euros, you are essentially purchasing a service based on an industrial model:

Pre-made templates: No unique design, just a theme bought online and adapted as best as possible.

Assembly line: Those who build it don't have time to study your brand; they have to close as many websites as possible to make a profit.

Zero SEO optimization: Sure, "you're on the internet," but if no one searches for you by your exact name, they'll never find you.

Ownership and constraints: You are often tied to eternal monthly fees and do not have full ownership of the code.

2. The Artisan Method: what you really pay for

When I develop a digital project for a client, the code is literally the last thing on my mind initially. The actual quote is based on a methodology that is divided into key phases.

Phase 1: Discovery and Analysis

Before designing a single pixel, we need to understand why we are creating this website. What is the business objective? Do you want more contacts? Do you want to sell high-margin products? Do you want to streamline customer care?

In this phase, we analyze the target audience, the real competitors on the web, and study the brand's positioning. The time invested in strategy makes the difference between an "expense" and an "investment."

Phase 2: UX/UI Design & Copywriting

I don't use copy-and-paste templates. Each layout is designed based on the objectives identified in phase 1.

UX (User Experience): We map out the path the user must take to reach conversion. Example: "Enter, understand who we are in 3 seconds, trust us, request a quote."

UI (User Interface): We build a design system that is faithful to the brand. We create buttons, typography, and premium interfaces.

Copywriting: Words sell. Using fake "Lorem Ipsum" text is the absolute worst. Words and design must be created together.

Phase 3: Development (Code and Performance)

This is where the actual technology stack comes into play (often using modern frameworks such as Nuxt.js or Vue.js). Developing from scratch allows us to:

Have an extremely fast website (no unnecessary plugins or dead weight).

Ensure a solid and fluid technical infrastructure.

Have clean code that is optimized to be read and ranked better by search engines (technical SEO).

Phase 4: Testing, Regulations (GDPR), and Launch

You don't go online and hope for the best. The site is tested on every device, browser, and operating system. In addition, there is the legal step—a world apart that "low-cost" offers rarely bother to warn the customer about: cookie policy, privacy policy, management of consent tracked in accordance with European laws. Being compliant in the EU is not a trivial formality, it is vital.

3. Conclusion: Is it expensive or is it worth it?

Developing a professional website requires hours of analysis, design, pure development, and testing. It requires cross-functional skills: marketing, graphics, user psychology, programming, systems engineering, and legal compliance.

When you evaluate a quote for a few thousand euros, you are not buying "a bit of code on a server." You are buying a digital consultant who will build you an asset that works for you 24/7, with a solidity that allows you to sleep soundly and, above all, converts your visitors into potential customers.

This is the real difference. And that's why in-depth preliminary analysis and technical transparency are the values on which all my projects are based.
",1792246904118]
